RAINBOW VALLEY

The trip starts at Hierva Buenas where we will study the petroglyphs. Hiervas Buenas was a resting place for the caravans that traveled inland from the coast with their animals and exchanged goods. These caravans left clues of their culture and traditions marked on the walls of volcanic rocks.
The visit continues to Matancilla, better known as the Rainbow Valley, named for the characteristic colors of the hills painted by the different minerals, where amethyst and iron predominate. This place is special for a quiet trekking. Here we will find the virgin beauty of the desert.
